On behalf of the Indian company Jaiprakash, BAUER Engineering India Pvt. Ltd. is constructing a grout curtain at the Arun III HEP, Nepal.
Arun III is a run-of-river power project under construction on the Arun River. This project is expected to generate 900 MW of electricity. The plant is located in the Sankhuwasabha district in the eastern development region of Nepal.
BAUER's scope of work at the Upstream Cofferdam:
Drilling and grouting using Tube-a-Manchette (TaM) in the granular river sediments and fissure grouting by upstage procedure using single packer in the followed bedrock.
The geology consists of alluvium and colluvium, followed by bedrock (schist and gneiss).
