To store rain water from the Al Hajar Mountains the Hatta Dam in the Emirate Dubai, about 70 miles east of Dubai City, was planned by the Government of Dubai and executed in the Sheikdom Hatta.

The required concrete cut-off wall to prevent seepage underneath the new embankment dam was executed successfully in 1997 by Bauer International Abu Dhabi.

With a Bauer Cutter BC30 the concrete cut-off wall, 0.8 m thick and to a maximum depth of 20 m was executed. The 1,500 m² wall through gravel and embedded into sandstone was completed in time.
