In northeastern Turkey, along the river two Coruh river power plants have been built.

For sealing of the up to about 65 m thick alluvial deposits below the main dam of Borcka and the integrated cofferdam at Muratli plastic concrete cut-off wall executed.

The excavation depths at Borcka (11,500 m²) and Muratli (9,000 m²) amounted up to 75 meters depth.

The alluvium had a high proportion of coarse gravels and boulders.  The rock was very hard and abrasive.

Strabag was main contractor and executed the works together with Bauer.
