Wadi Dayqah Dam, Sultanate of Oman

The Project, located in the Sultanate of Oman, consists in the construction of two dams to impound flow from Wadi Dayqah river to form a reservoir in the valley immediately upstream. The reservoir will supply water for irrigation and domestic use.

 

The scope of works of Bauer involve the drilling & grouting works to be performed from surface and from a gallery located within the main dam.

 

Drilling machines for exploratory holes and for curtain grout holes shall be generally capable of drilling to depths of up to 200 m.)

 

 

The grout curtain is about 2,3 km long and 70 m deep. The works also include drilling for drainage and drilling for instrumentation.
