Dagály

Rehabilitation of dike with D-wall and protection of drain with CFA method next to the river Danube.

In 2015, Hungary decided to embark on the construction of a swimming pool to serve as the site for the 2017 World Water Polo Championship. As the Dagály Swimming pool complex was planned close to the Danube, the dike rehabilitation and drain protection were necessary.

To build the promenade and improve the flood defence system along the riverside, Bauer Hungary Ltd. executed 8.740 m2 watertight reinforced concrete 400 mm thick diaphragm wall next to the Danube. In order to stay within the tight schedule of the project, the Company was involved not only as a foundation contractor, but provided technical consultation to the deep foundation designer to speed up the design process.
