Wassa Mine (Ghana)

The project is located in the Ashanti region, approx. 150 km west of Accra the capital of Ghana.

 

Bored secant pile wall for mine shaft. The embedment depth of the piles into the rock was between 0.5m and 1.5m

Overburden consisting of sand and gravel

  • Guide wall for the secant pile wall
  • 1m diameter shaft, 33 bored piles ϕ1180 and 42m long

 

Miscellaneous:

Secant pile wall for the containment of the loose soil of the upper part of a 450m total deep shaft.
